I think many gamers will agree that having a 3D display on their desk to game with would be very cool. Panoram Technologies released today a new LCD display that will do just that. The PSP 2400 is a 24-inch LCD display with a 1920 x 1200 screen resolution.
The device is a circular, passive stereoscopic LCD panel that doesn’t require you to keep your head in a specific location to view. Glasses are required to see the 3D effects from the display.
Plug-and-play capability means that all you need to do is plug the display into a high-end graphics card from a company like NVIDIA and it works. One or two users can work with the display at once and an optional mounting system for tradeshows allows for one to three users. An on/off button also allows the 3D function to be used when needed allowing the display to be used as a standard monitor. The MSRP for the system is $4995 with glasses costing extra.
