A team from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) led by Prof. Kwon Se-jin and Shim Hyun-chul from the department of aerospace engineering managed to outfit a flying drone with a fuel cell.
The unmanned small plane can fly for about 10 hours powered by the fuel cells. Apparently the drones currently used by the U.S. military which fly powered by batteries only last about 1 hour.
The fuel cell drone has a wing span of 1.2m and weighs 2kg, including the 750g fuel cell system.
More details on the Chosun.
