Video game company EA calls for a gaming platform. Of course EA wants one single platform to develop games for. EA supports 14 gaming hardware systems currently.
EA thinks dedicated consoles will disappear in about 15 years. EA also sees a $100 game console that sells on every street corner and will be enough to run any game.
I do not think this will happen. There will be always innovation and we will see another video game console generation every couple of years that pushes the limits of video gaming further.
