A week ago our Wrist watch news site Wrist Dreams reported about the interesting Hyundai W-100 GSM watch phone. Today Canadian I4U reader Trevor sent us his first impressions of the W-100, which he got his hands on via connections in Hong Kong.

Trevor has the Hyundai W-100 wristphone running on Rogers and is very happy with the reception.
The W-100 is triband GSM and he can take photos with the built-in 1.3MP camera with up to 1,245x1,045px. The video capture also works well and he recorded video in 3GP format with the W-100.
The user interface of the W-100 looks decent and the touch screen interface works well. The speaker phone is not that loud, but the sound quality over the Bluetooth headphone is supposed to be excellent.

Another interesting feature of the W-100 is that you can remove the phone from the wrist band with the push of two buttons. This way you can use it like a tiny handset.
The Hyundai W-100 package includes two batteries, desk charger, AC charger, pendant type hanger, Bluetooth headset, USB cable, and an English manual.
Trevor paid $355 (USD) for the watch including shipping from Hong Kong to Canada.

It looks like SMS Technology has some serious competition for their M500. The Australian Wristphone company is set though to release a much improved wristphone model early next year.
