LetusDirect announced today its new 35mm video adapter that uses prism technology. The adapter allows users to attach standard 35mm SLR lenses to their video cameras. The prism technology flips the image so it is upright for correct recording.
Inside the adapter are high-grade optical achromatic lens, a custom condenser lens, and an improved ground glass element. The adapter results in a film-look bokeh with no vignetting and accurate color reproduction with a 1/2 stop of light loss.
The silent adapter ground glass vibration mechanism inside the adapter has an on/off switch and is powered by a pair of AA batteries. Several thread sizes are available including 72mm for Canon cameras like the XH-A1 and 82mm threads for Panasonic cameras. A 77mm thread patter is coming for the Sony XDCAM EX. Supported lens mounts include the Canon FD, Nikon FD, Canon EF (EOS) and Pentax K-mount.
