ATI Releases Catalyst 7.10 Drivers for Linux

AMD announced today that it has released new Linux drivers for its line of video cards. The new Linux Catalyst 7.10 drivers release includes several updates and new features.
The drivers now support AIGLX (accelerates indirect rendering) and ATI GPUs which allows for accelerated effects on desktops of supported distributions. OpenGL game performance improvements were added for OpenGL based games like Doom3 and Quake 4.
The Catalyst control center for Linux now has a new 3D user interface as well that allows users to adjust settings like anti-aliasing, anisotropic filtering and VSync. This release also provides support for X.prg version 7.3.
