LG Electronics showed the world’s highest 30,000:1 contrast ratio plasma panels at FPD International 2007 in Japan last week.
The LG G Platform Plasma Panels double the contrast ratio of currently available Plasmas. Other features of the new LG G Platform panels include deep blacks with a 20 percent reduced reflection rate, true colors through optimized color phosphors and use of dielectrics, extreme silent operation, and 100Hz technology for PAL regions.
LG G Platform panels will be available in LG’s plasma TVs beginning in the 4th quarter, 2007. The panels come out in 32-, 42- and 50-inch HD models as well as 50- and 60-inch full HD models. All of these HD models as well as the 50-inch full HD model include industry-leading single scan technology. All of the panels also feature a 100 Hz refresh rate.
