Garmin nuvi and zumo GPS users can now take the road less traveled, and more interesting with the GPS devices thanks to a Garmin partnership with MAD MAPS. "The routes developed by MAD MAPS are proof that the best way to get somewhere isn't always the fastest way," said Dan Bartel, Garmin's vice president of worldwide sales. "By adding these detailed road trips to Garmin's extensive database of more than six million points of interest, we're able to make every drive an enjoyable ride to remember."
MAD MAPS provides GPS users with routes to scenic drives and quirky attractions that you might not even know were in your backyard. Beginning in December three MAD MAPS product lines will be available from Garmin.
The U.S. regional touring series will be available for $11.99 per map with each map covering 25-35 routes ideal for a day trip or overnight trip. The Get Outta Town series is $6.99 per map and 25 maps with 5-7 routes each will be available. The Rally Run Series is also $6.99 per map and shows you how to reach the nation’s biggest motorcycle rallies with four maps covering around five routes each.
