Sony announced the 40GB Sony PS3 for the United States about two weeks ago. The new low-end Sony PS3 console sells for $399.99 and begins shipping this Friday, November 2nd.
Amazon.com is taking pre-orders for the new PS3 console that comes bundled with the Spider-man 3 blu-ray movie.
Sony already started shipping the 40GB PS3 in Europe on October 10th. Japan still has to wait until November 11th, but they also get a white 40GB Sony PS3 option.
You can also get the 80GB Sony PS3 bundled with MotorStorm for the new low price of $499.99. The 80GB version is still backward compatible with PS2 games.
When you purchase a Sony Playstation 3 you get 5 Blu-ray movies free through this mail-in offer.
