OtterBox announced its newest case for the iPhone today called the OtterBox for iPhone Defender series. The Defender series of cases protects the iPhone while matching the looks of the device at the same time.

The Defender is made from a hi-impact polycarbonate shell that snaps together to protect the iPhone. A scratch resistant polycarbonate membrane protects the screen from dust, light, and water intrusion. The silicone skin also offers bumps that provide a better grip.

Donaldson acoustic vents allow sound transmission to the mic and from the speaker without allowing water or dust inside. Also included with the Defender is a holster belt clip for hands free carrying. The case weighs only 1.9 ounces and measures 4.81” x 2.675” x 0.76”. The case is available now for $49.99.
