Yesterday we talked about the Wal-Mart secret sale with the $99 Toshiba HD-A2 HD DVD player. I went up to the local Wal-Mart expecting to take some mocking photos of the people waiting in line for the sale items.

Not only were there no lines, but my local Wal-Mart had only sold two of them. In total, my local store had about 20 of the Toshiba HD-A2 players available. I would expect that is probably about the maximum amount most Wal-Mart stores will have.

If you want one of these HD DVD players and assumed the lines would be too long, if my local Wal-Mart is any indication the secret sale may have been too secret. Some of the sale items didn’t even have the sale prices listed, like the Power Wheels Nascar ride-on my son wanted for Christmas. It may not be too late to get your hands on the HD DVD player deal of the season.
