Cowon announces that they will begin shipping the new Cowon A3 PMP this month. Cowon announced the A3 back in January at the CES 2007.

The Cowon A3 runs the Da Vinci video processor (like the Maxian E900) encoding video up to 1,280x720px resolution.
The Cowon A3 features a 4 inch screen with a high 800x480px resolution.

Other features of the Cowon A3 include 30GB or 60GB HDD, T-DMB / DVB-T / 1SEG TV-Tuner options, MP3, WMA, OGG, WAV, FLAC, APE, AC3 audio format support, FM Tuner, AVI, WMV, ASF, MP4, MPG/MPEG, VOB, DAT, MTV, and DivX video format support.

The measurements of the Cowon A3 are 133.4(W) x 78.5(H) x 22.0(T) mm and the weight for the 30GB model is 280g.

Cowon calls the A3 extreme. I assume it is because of the amazing support of media formats and standards.
