Sony Ericsson has introduced it's first USB mobile broadband modem called the MD300. The MD300 is able to connect mobile users to HSDPA, UMTS, EDGE, or GPRS networks all over the world.

The MD300 is small and requires only one USB port, measurements are 70 x 32.5 x 15mm. An integrated antenna helps provide good connectivity with download speeds of up to 3.6Gbps.

HSDPA/UMTS frequencies the device works on include 850/1900/2100 MHz, EDGE/GPRS compatible frequencies are 850/900/1800/1900 MHz. The modem is compatible with Windows 2000, XP, Vista, and Mac OS X. 128 MB of onboard memory is available, and the required drivers and software are pre-installed in the memory.
