Iomega announced today that its recently available Iomega UltraMax Pro, UltraMax, and MiniMax desktop hard drives are compatible with the Time Machine backup feature with the new Mac OS X Leopard OS.

All three of the drives are automatically recognized by Time Machine as potential backup drives because they are pre-formatted with Apple HFS+ file system. Iomega has introduced its broadest lineup of HFS+ hard drives ever this fall, and the timing is excellent for customers with an iMac, MacBook, MacBook Pro, Mac Pro, or Mac Mini computer," said Jonathan Huberman, CEO, Iomega Corporation. "With up to 1.5TB* of capacity for backing up all of your critical files, Iomega UltraMax Pro, UltraMax and MiniMax desktop hard drives are designed to specifically support the Time Machine feature in Leopard, providing users with the best in performance, value, and customer support in the storage business."

The UltraMax Pro can be had with up to 1.5TB of storage space from $289 to $569. Using one of these drives and Time Machine a user can keep real-time backups of their data and restore and file or folder to a previous state.
