Sony released a white version of the new 40GB Sony PS3 in Japan. As reported Play-Asia is shipping the white PS3 outside of Japan for $499.90.

The white PS3 also comes of course with a new white Dual Shock 3 controller. Watch an unboxing video of someone who went for the white for the PS3 below. By the way the Dual Shock 3 controllers are currently on back-order on Play Asia. The new rumble controllers are a hot export item, as they have not been released outside of Japan yet.
