Mitsubishi had a booth full of cool cars at the LA Auto Show. From the new Lancer Evolution to Mitsubishi race cars old and new there was much to be seen in the Mitsubishi booth. The star of the Mitsubishi show was definitely the new Lancer Evolution. The car has some traits in common with the old body style Evo, especially from the side.

I don’t care for the front end of the new Evo; it’s not particularly attractive to me. Looks aside, the car has the performance pedigree to make up for a lackluster design. The turbo charged 4-cylinder engine puts out 291 HP and the power meets the pavement via super-all wheel control dynamic handling system. Mitsubishi is tight lipped on the performance numbers for the car, but they should be decent.

The Evo MR is back this year and adds a new 6-speed twin-clutch sportronic shift transmission that is a manual transmission with an automatic clutch. Gear changes are made via paddle shifters behind the wheel.
