Toshiba and CBS Home Entertainment announced today that Star Trek: The Original Series is now available. The original series’ first season has been re-mastered and is available in a boxed set on HD DVD/DVD format combo discs.

Part of the promotion allows buyers of any Toshiba HD DVD player and the Star Trek boxed set to get a free Star Trek phaser universal remote control with a retail value of $69.99.

The 3 in 1 universal phaser remote is pre-programmed to work with any Toshiba HD DVD player. The remote is available while supplies last via a mail-in offer. The Star trek boxed set includes 10 discs and offers 5.1 surround sound tracks for the old series. The boxed set retails for $217.99.
