Nokia Lifeblog was announced on 17 March 2004 at a press event at CeBIT in Hannover and a parallel Nokia event in Hong Kong.

Users of the Nokia 7610 imaging phone will be the first to use the Nokia Lifeblog software. The software will be available on their phone's MultiMediaCard (MMC) and on the sales box CD.

The Nokia Lifeblog automatically keeps track of photos, videos, and messages so the user doesn't have to. With Lifeblog on the phone users can browse items and share them with others. Connect the phone to a PC via USB cable to transfer the phone items to Lifeblog on the PC.

This could become an interesting solution for updating I4U from the road, if it would be an open system. There are already several Camera Phone Blogs (moblogs) out there as well as Camera Phone Photo Galleries. Those systems are phone independent. See Newbay Software as an example.
