Philips, Nokia and Sony announced on CeBit that they are partnering to create Near Field Communications (NFC) that allows Gadgets to easily communicate with each other.

You would think Bluetooth would work for that, but there is a general problem in identifying with what Gadget to connect and how to exchange what data. NFC is not replacing Bluetooth but is aiming in simplifying the negotiation for a connection between any Gadget. Two NFC devices together will find out how they can swap data. NFC is all about making it easier for the Consumer, at least that's what they participating Companies say.
