Car and Driver has released its annual 10 best cars list for 2008. This year’s list marks the first time two models from GM made the list, the new Malibu and the Cadillac CTS. GM is the only American manufacture to make this year’s list.

The other GM vehicle is the Corvette, which makes its 17 appearance on a Car and Driver 10 best list. Eight of the vehicles on the list are repeats from last year.

The top 10 list for 2008 is:

• Cadillac CTS
• Chevrolet Corvette
• Chevrolet Malibu
• Honda Accord
• Honda Fit
• Mazda MX-5
• Mazdaspeed 3
• Porsche Boxter/Cayman
• Volkswagen GTI
