Asus Eee PC planned with HDD?

Somebody actually read a manual! The Register uncovered an interesting mistake in the Asus Eee PC that could be intepreted that Asus originally planned to have a hard-drive instead of solid-state discs planned for the Asus Eee PC.
The manual says in the Transportation Precautions, "The solid-state disk drive's head retracts when the power is turned OFF to prevent scratching of the solid-state disk drive surface during transport."
The other explanation for this mistake in the manual is that the tech writer has no idea how a SSD works and just wrote the same thing he or she writes in any notebook manual.
In any case two things are funny here: That solid-state disks can scratch and that somebody read a manual.
More details and scan from the manual on The Register.
