I had the chance to see the Bullitt Mustang at the La Auto show this year and it was cool. The car looks very subdued and not what you might expect from a customized Mustang. Any car fan will immediately know where the Ford Bullitt gets its visage from, the iconic Steve McQueen flick Bullitt with the best chase scene ever put to film.
The 2008 Bullitt deletes the spoiler, chrome trim and even the pony in the front grill to look more like the green 1968 GT 390 from the movie. I would love to see Hollywood remake that film with this Mustang and the new Charger when it launches.
Ford has priced the Bullitt Mustang at a reasonable starting price of $31,075 with a 5-speed. The car can hit 60mph in about 5.0 seconds flat, slightly faster than a stock GT.
