Nothing screams geek like a robot walking around your desk, especially an expensive one that you have to build yourself. RoboPhilo is a 13-inch tall robot that weighs in at 1.2Kg with the battery.
The battery is a 6V Ni-MH battery and the bot includes graphical motion editor software. The bot also includes a stand to hold it when not in play and it uses over 20 servos to mimic complex movements.
Areas of articulation include the body, neck, shoulders and waist with the arms and legs having their own joints as well. The ready to walk kit will run you $500 and a build-it yourself kit will cost $400.
