OCZ announced the new PC Power and cooling turbo-Cool 860-watt power supply today. The PSU is aimed at multiple applications from gaming machines to industrial use in servers. The PSU uses a single 12V rail to deliver optimum power distribution.
The 860 allows the user to fine tune the power via two ports that allow tuning of the +3V and +5V rails, experienced users can adjust the 12V rail as well. The form factor is a standard ATX design allowing it to fit into any chassis.
OCZ says the 860 is rated at an MTBF of 200,000 hours at full load giving it twice the lifespan of other PSUs on the market. "The Turbo-Cool 860 is the most stable, most reliable, and most feature-rich power supply on the market today. It's the perfect successor to our renowned Turbo-Cool 510, the industry's very first NVIDIA SLI certified power supply," stated Doug Dodson, founder of PC Power & Cooling and CTO of Power Management for OCZ.
