Earthquake Sound corp. has introduced a new line of powered subwoofers for the home theater enthusiast designed for small spaces. The subs are designed to be small but Earthquake says the woofers still produce deep bass.
The MiniMe is designed to deliver clean, powerful bass while taking up little space thanks to a small footprint. The speaker is enclosed in a 7-layer piano black lacquer cabinet and uses a two-driver system.
The active driver uses a poly injection cone and a dual-layer aluminum bobbin voice coil. The MiniMe uses the latest 600W amplifier from Earthquake with up to 600 watts of sound. The MiniMe line is available in 8-inch, 10-inch, and 12-inch sizes with from 320 to 600W of power. Pricing is $899 for the 8-inch, $1200 for the 10-inch, and $1500 for the 12-inch.
