LaserShield Systems, Inc. a provider of instant home security systems, announced today that it will introduce Sparrow, the first "Plug & Go" wireless instant home security system for the Internet.
Sparrow is a high speed Internet adapter that works with the LaserShield home security system and digital phones to protect homes 24/7.
Sparrow transmits security breach and home break-in information over the Internet from LaserShield's master 105-decibel alarm unit to the professional 24/7 monitoring service.
With traditional home security systems, if a consumer's phone lines were cut by a burglar or went down, the user would never know.
Sparrow solves the dirty little secret that has been quietly occurring throughout the home security system industry when consumers convert from traditional phones to digital phones (including VoIP and cable phone systems). These over 50 million digital phone users have not been notified by either their home security system or new phone provider that digital phones may not work with pre-existing home security systems that use standard telephone lines to transmit security breach information! Sparrow solves this extremely important problem and fixes 80% of these pre-existing alarm systems to work with digital phones. In addition, Sparrow easily allows all users to set up their own LaserShield security system through the Internet.
The Sparrow high speed Internet adapter is available immediately for $129.99 through the retail channel. It includes the Sparrow communication unit, an Ethernet cable, a telephone cord and an A/C power cord. Customers also need to purchase the LaserShield Instant Security System for $199.95 for a complete home security system. LaserShield includes a master alarm unit, wireless motion detector and two keychain remotes. Customers can activate the 24/7 Rapid Response Monitoring Service on the day of purchase for $29.95/month after a one-time $25 activation charge. Payments are month-to-month with no contracts or long-term commitments. Current LaserShield customers can upgrade to Sparrow without paying an activation fee.
