Famous Swiss Porsche tuning company Rinspeed announces a new concept car dubbed sQuba to be revealed at the Geneva Motor Show 2008 in March.

The Rinspeed sQuba is the world's first real diving car. Rinspeed already created a swimming car back in 2004 called Splash. Now the innovative company goes one step further and designed a car that can dive like a submarine.

The sQuba has an electric motor with powerful torque that drives the rear wheels. The propulsion on the water is ensured by two propellers in the stern and two powerful jet drives in the bow propel the vehicle under water while diving. Because the sQuba runs on electric power it has zero emissions.
The light weight body has components made of carbon nano tubes. Passengers are supplied with fresh breathing air by the self-contained on-board system.

The available photos are just rendered images. When the company announced the Splash, real photos appeared about 2 weeks later. It will be interesting to see the real concept car in action. If the producers of the new James Bond movie are smart they are going to use the sQuba in the new movie they are working on. 'The Spy Who Loved Me' Bond movie came out 30 years ago, in which James had this cool amphibious vehicle. It is time for another diving Bond car.
