Amazon Wraps its 13th Holiday Season

With Christmas behind us, Amazon.com has announced some facts from it's 13th holiday season. Amazon says that it shipped more than 99% of its holiday orders in time to meet holiday deadlines around the world. On the peak day for shipping this holiday season Amazon says that it shipped over 3.9 million units.
Shipping was made to over 200 countries and over 160,000 shipments went to APF/FPO addresses. Amazon says it sold the Nintendo Wii at 17 per second while they were in stock and sold enough high definition DVD players to cover seven football fields.
The top toy seller included Jakks EyeClops Bionic Eye, the IlluStory Make Your Own Story Kit and the Air Hogs Havoc helicopter. The top video game sellers were Super Mario Galaxy and Call of Duty 4. Top selling electronics items included Garmin GPS, Canon PowerShot digital Elph, and Samsung LCD TVs.
