Pulse~LINK Inc announced that it has reference designs for its CWave HDMI-Over-coax and Wireless HDMI production ready. These solutions will allow home theater fans to send HD signals throughout the home with no required wires.
The HDMI over Coax will allow sending HD quality video over existing coax wiring in homes. The JPEG2000 video codec is used for the wireless streaming and coax streaming.
Pulse~LINK says that the same codec is used by movie theaters to secure HD content. The wireless connectivity option allows secure wireless connectivity between an HDTV display and cable boxes, game systems, DVD players and more. Both products are ready to be integrated with end-user solutions. No partners have been announced so no time frame on when we might see products using this technology in stores is available.
