Celestron will be showing its new SkyScout Scope off at CES 2008 next week. The SkyScout scope as pictured doesn’t include the small SkyScout spotter scope on top of the main telescope.
Celestron says that the SkyScout Scope is a simple and easy to use non-computerized telescope. The telescope is a 90mm refractor with a wide field of view and when used in tandem with the top mounted SkyScout Personal Planetarium you get a guided tour through the night sky.
The scope weighs 20 pounds and has an Altazimuth mount and fully coated optics. The focal length is 660 mm and the eyepiece is 40mm. The SkyScout Scope retails for $319.95.
