SanDisk announced today that it will be showing off it's latest flash drive in the Cruzer family at CES 2008 next week. The SanDisk Cruzer Titanium Plus has 4GB of storage capacity and adds an automatic online backup function to the Cruzer family of products.
SanDisk says that users can gain access to their backed up files from any internet connected computer in the world. This allows files to be retrieved in the event the flash drive is lost, stolen, or forgotten.
Six months of free online backup service is included with the purchase of the Titanium Plus drive. AES hardware data encryption of the data on the drive is optional for the entire drive. The online backup service is powered by BeInSync. The drive will be available in March for $59.99 and the online backup service will cost $29.99 per year after the first six months of free service.
