Dell already showed a concept of the Dell Crystal Monitor at last year's CES. Now it seems the glass framed stylish 22 inch wide-screen monitor is ready for sale. It looks like the press-release went out too early. The product page for the Dell Crystal monitor on the Dell site is not live yet.
We now know the details about this new Dell Monitor that has the guts to compete with the Apple monitors.
The 22" widescreen LCD panel of the Dell Crystal is encased in 4mm premium grade ultra-clear tempered glass. The tripod stand is chrome-plated zinc alloy. The Crystal's four integrated speakers and top webcam are connected by embedded circuitry throughout the panel's slim glass.
The hard specifications include WSXGA+ 1,680 x 1,050px resolution, 2ms response time, 2,000:1 contrast ratio and TrueColor Technology with 98 percent color gamut.
The price for the Dell Crystal is supposed to be $1,199.
More details possibly later today on the Dell Crystal product page. Via Hothardware.
