Rumor of new Erector Spykee Robots at CES 2008

At last year's CES Erector aka Meccano introduced the cool wi-fi enabled robot kit Spykee (first known as Spyke).
I was watching the Spykee robot since then. The robot never shipped as far as I know. It was offered on Amazon, but has been marked as unavailable for a long time now.
Now Engadget has published a rumor that the Nikko owned Meccano company is introducing new version of Spykee at the CES 2008.
The new robots are supposedly called Spykee Cell, Spykee Vox, and Spykee Miss.
I could not care less about new Spykee versions (vaporware alert is about to ring). Just ship the first one already. That one is cool enough to figure out what my cat is doing when I am not at home.
