WowWee introduced a huge line of new robots at the CES 2008. We already reported about the technically advanced Rovio, Mr. Personality, and the Tribot in detail.
WowWee also introduced a line of low-end toy robots and extends there flying robots and alive lines.
The WowWee Chatterbot and Wrex the Dawg are fun, animated computer accessories that provide hours of entertainment with an unpredictable stream of jokes, dialogue, and comments about the user's virtual life. These collectible figurines connect to a PC or Mac via USB cable, enabling them to launch humorous quips and comments based on the user's email, calendar, applications, web browsing, and instant messaging activity.
The WowWee FlyTech line is expanded with the FlyTech Bladestar in 2008 and FlyTech Butterfly, FlyTech Mosquito, and FlyTech Moth flyers.
The Alive Elvis head is joined by cute WowWee Alive Lion Cub, Alive Panda Cub, Alive Polar Bear Cub, and the Alive White Tiger Cub. These new robot pets feature realistic fur, an animated face, and recorded lion cub sounds activated by touch and tilt sensors. This cuddly, interactive companion even has lifelike responses – pick him up by the scruff of the neck and his legs will go limp, like a real cub being carried by its mother, or leave him alone for five minutes and he will purr himself into sleep mode.
Under the WowWee Fun line, the company is featuring Bug-Bots, colorful, miniature insects that move and act like real bugs and miniature versions of the Mini FemiSapien, Mini Tribot, and Mini Wrex the Dawg.
Last but not least, WowWee also introduces a female Robosapion named FemiSapien.
Femisapion is a sophisticated humanoid interactive friend with distinctly fluid movements, features elegant gestures and dance moves controlled only by her 4-way joystick hands. She also features infrared, audio, and tilt sensors that enable her to synchronize her dance moves to music. The FemiSapien robot even speaks her own language of emotive sounds -- and responds to users' gestures, touch, and sound.
WowWee really is rolling into 2008 with a huge line of new robots. 2008 will be another robot crazy year.
CES 2008 will start officially on January 7th, but the first event is already on Saturday. We are in Las Vegas and will be covering the CES 2008 first hand.
