Bang & Olufsen launches its latest LCD solution at the 2008 CES in Las Vegas. The BeoVision 8 is a 32-inch flat screen with an integrated center channel speaker that delivers state-of-the-art sound and picture quality and offers flexible placement options.
B&O focused on the sound performance of BeoVision 8, which apparently sets new standards.
While the downward-facing bass speaker provides a firm foundation for movies and music, the front units are tuned specifically for the reproduction of human speech, which simulates actual voices coming directly from the screen.
BeoVision 8 offers infinite placement options in the home, as it can easily be moved around and placed on a table, floor stand, wall bracket, or even directly on the floor.
The BeoVision 8 32-inch screen is based on a progressive display technology with a glare polarizer that provides the ideal contrast. Additionally, BeoVision 8 has no glass in front of the screen, thus it outputs more light than other BeoVisions. This is particularly effective when watching television during the day, as many flat screens suffer when used in bright ambient light. The result of the glare polarizer provides a significant improvement in contrast, allowing for blacker blacks, richer colors, and more precise details for the optimal viewing experience.
Other specifications of the Beovision 8 include 1,366x728 resolution, 1,200:1, and 500cd/m2 brightness.
BeoVision 8 will be available in all Bang & Olufsen showrooms by February 2008. The price is $3,950.00.
CES 2008 officially starts today. The flood gates to the CES show floor in Las Vegas will open and we get to see all the beautiful new TVs, gadgets and booth babes.
