Sony discontinues 20GB and 60GB Sony PS3 in Japan

Sony announces in Japan that they will discontinue the shipment of the 20GB and 60GB Sony PS3 as soon as stock is depleted.
Sony is focusing now only on the new 40GB Sony PS3 (CECHH00 Series) which as you know has no PS2 compatibility. For some reason Sony does not mention the 80GB model, but I assume that one will also continue to be available.
The 60GB Sony PS3 has been a no show at online retailers like Amazon and Gamestop in the United States for a while now.
