Fujitsu announced the world’s smallest Mac compatible color ADF scanner today. The scanner is called the ScanSnap S300M and measures in at only 11.2-inches x 3.7-inches x 3.0-inches. The scanner also draws all the power it needs from the USB port alone.
The S300M is compatible with Mac OS X Leopard and claims to offer the fastest one-touch conversion of documents to PDF files around. The scanner has a ten sheet feeder and can scan double sided pages at up to 8 ppm.
The scanner can also scan business cards and comes bundled with Cardiris for business card scanning. Several features help the scanner provide the best scan quality including automatic image deskew, automatic paper size detection and automatic color detection. Availability is set for March 15th at an MSRP of $295.
