Blizzard says its wildly popular MMORPG title World of Warcraft has reached another milestone with a total of 10 million subscribers worldwide.
Blizzard says the game has 2.5 million subscribers in the U.S. and Europe now has more than 2 million. Asia currently has more than the number of subscribers in the U.S. and Europe combined at 5.5 million. Blizzard also says that a Russian language version of WoW is in development as well.
"It's very gratifying to see gamers around the world continuing to show such enthusiasm and support for World of Warcraft," said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. "We're always pleased to welcome new players to the game, and we're looking forward to sharing the next major content update with the entire community in the months ahead."
