Samsung announces the availability of a free Windows Mobile 6 upgrade for the BlackJack smartphone available from AT&T.

BlackJack users can update their devices from Windows Mobile 5.0 to the new Windows Mobile 6.0 operating platform with a free desktop download available directly from Samsung.

With the BlackJack and Windows Mobile 6, users can keep track of schedules and contacts through Outlook Mobile, browse the Internet, manage Word and Excel documents, and view PowerPoint documents using Office Mobile. Windows Mobile 6 also supports HTML e-mail so that people can view and compose e-mail messages in their original HTML format with live links to Web sites, support for images, tables and bullets.

Also included with the upgrade is software that gives BlackjackTM the capability to conduct Video Share calling.
