Western Digital Announces 320GB Passport Essential

Western Digital announced My Passport Essential today, the latest addition to its line of My Passport drives. This drive is USB powered and has 320GB of storage space and weighs less than five ounces.
The drive is completely USB bus powered so no AC adapter is needed. WD Sync software allows users to sync files from their computer to the external drive and the software can sync Outlook messages and contacts as well.
Data on the drive can be encrypted with 128-bit security and the drive includes Google tools for searching content of the drive. The MY Book Essential 320GB USB drive is available now for $199.99.
