Apple MacBook Air Ships

Apple announced yesterday that the MacBook Air is now shipping. While the Air is certainly one of the sexiest notebooks around, it’s certainly not without its drawbacks. The biggest drawbacks are the fact that none of the components are upgradable. You can’t even change the battery for a fresh one on the go.
That said, for the majority of notebook users that simply won’t matter. I only own one battery for my notebook and have never changed it. What could be a bigger issue is the paltry 80GB hard drive, especially if you need to run boot camp for Windows access.
The MacBook Air is available starting at $1799 for the base configuration. Add a faster processor and the optional 64GB SSD and you will need a much deeper wallet.
