GE has announced its 2008 line of digital cameras including nine new models. All nine cameras will include smile detection, blink detection, upgraded lenses and LCD screens that adjust to ambient light.

The top of the line E1050 also adds HDTV output, a touch screen and onboard GPS capability. The GE line is the first to offer smile and blink detection to ensure you get portraits when subjects are both smiling and have their eyes open.

The GPS receiver makes geo tagging with the E1050 as simple as it gets. As feature packed as the GE E1050 is, the camera carries a retail price of only $249.99 and has a 10 megapixel resolution and 5x optical zoom.
