NEC Adds New Desktop LCDs

NEC announced new additions to its AccuSync line of desktop computer LCD displays today. The new additions include the 17-inch ASLCD174WMX, 19-inch ASLCD194WMX and the 22-inch ASLCD224WMX.
"The new AccuSync wide-screen products continue to deliver the quality of the NEC brand while remaining price competitive," said Andrew Anderson, Product Manager for NEC Display Solutions. "The three displays feature NEC's exclusive ECO Mode(TM), an easily selectable, power-reducing setting, which reduces brightness and cuts energy costs by 30 percent."
The 17 and 19-inch displays have a native resolution of 1440 x 900 and the 22-inch display has a 1680 x 1050 resolution. The 17-inch display has a 250 cd/m2 brightness and the other two displays have a brightness of 300 cd/m2. The contrast ratio of 800:1 for the 17-inch and the other two displays have a 900:1 contrast ratio. All displays will be available in March with the 17-inch retailing for $209.00, the 19-inch retailing for $229.99 and the 22-inch retailing for $329.99.
