Today 2K and Nickelodeon launched the first Wii game intended for play by preschool children. The game features the ever popular Go, Diego, Go! Characters and is available for the PS2 as well. The game is called Go, Diego, Go!: Safari Rescue and will be on retail shelves on February 12th.
"For Go, Diego, Go!: Safari Rescue, we've created an entirely new interactive experience for preschoolers that is only possible on the Wii," said Steve Lux, Vice President of Business Development for 2K Play. "Nickelodeon's intensive study of how two through six-year-olds experience the new technologies offered by the Wii helped us create an all-new play pattern that extends beyond current games. Physical activity is an integral part of the fun and the new title is perfectly suited for the younger gamer."
Young children trying to play the game can get assistance from parents using the second Wii Remote via a unique Safari Helper that allows parents to assist kids when needed. The Diego game will retail for $39.99 on the Wii and $29.99 on the PS2.
