The sensor is called the VD6725 and is a 1.5 inch optical-format image sensor with a 1600 x 1200 pixel array. The sensor is designed to fit into camera phones under 6x6x3.8 mm.

An image processor is embedded allowing special effects to be added in the phone. The sensor can also record digital video at 15 frames per second at full UXGA resolution and 30fps at VGA resolution. Unit pricing will be $2 per unit in bulk.
