One of the first movies I ever remember that was centered on a video game was the early 1980’s Disney film Tron. I spent lots of time when I was a kid in the arcade playing the video game that the movie spun off.

My personal favorite mini-game was the light cycles. Disney announced today that it is putting one of the mini-games out on the Xbox Live Arcade on February 13th. That’s just in time for geeky Valentine’s Day gift giving.

The game is Discs of Tron and has the player facing off against the evil nemesis Sark from the movie. Gameplay has players throwing discs as each other in an attempt to derezz the opposing player. An enhanced mode adds modern graphics to the game and it is rated E by the ESRB.
