Novatel Wireless introduced its next generation HSDPA/HSUPA USB modem for worldwide broadband connectivity today. The modem connects via USB and can provide worldwide web access on mobile networks.
The Ovation MC930D is designed for peak download speeds of 7.2Mbps and upload speeds of 2.1 Mbps on any network supporting 2100 MHz band. The modem measures in at 70 x 25 x 12mm and fits comfortably into a pocket.
The software needed for the modem is preinstalled on the modems internal memory so no driver disks are needed for Mac or Windows users. A Dual USB Y-cable is included to boost power in low signal areas. The modem is expected to be available in February.
