Modu Modular Mobile Phone Gains Support

Modu announced it has received support from industry providers for its modular mobile phone concept from leading companies in electronics, mobile and technology. Some of the companies interested in the concept are Telecom Italia, Bee-Line, Cellcom, SanDisk, Blaupunkt and Magellan Navigation.
The modular mobile phone is intended to have multiple different accessories that can hold the small cellular portion of the device. Different providers will be able to create custom modu jackets to hold the phone device making the phone into completely different styles as the user desires.
Other than just mobile phones the modu device will also work in digital picture frames, alarm clocks, boom boxes, printers, digital cameras, PMP and navigation devices. No word is available on pricing or availability at this time.
