Panasonic announced the release date today for the world’s first 32GB SDHC memory card. The card will have the fastest SDHC speed classification of 6 and will launch globally in April.
The massive 32GB of storage capacity gives the card enough space to store 12 hours of HD video at 1440 x 1080i and four hours of full 1920 x 1080i HD video. The card has a maximum data transfer speed of 20MB/s.
The 32GB SDHC card also has a place for writing labels on the front and back of the card. Panasonic says that the card can hold about 12,320 10MP still shots. Pricing for the card is as big as its storage capacity. The MSRP for the 32GB SDHC card from Panasonic is $699.
