Sharp introduces a new generation of Blu-ray laser components with industry leading output of 250mW.
The new Sharp Blu-ray laser diodes enable four to six times faster recording of blu-ray discs.
Sharp offers a small 3.3mm GH04P25A4G Blu-ray laser component for notebook drives and a 5.6mm version (GH04P25A2G) of PC Blu-ray drives.
Sharp will start mass production of the new Blu-ray lasers in April with a monthly maximum capacity of 700,000 units. We can expect Blu-ray drives in the 2nd half of 2008 that will feature these new Sharp Blu-ray components.
